--Sometimes Life gets TOO real---

---its still monday, but now the sun is setting in the west (thank goodness, not really ready for anything totally weird)----but have been reading some of my mail, and of course I KNOW where my family is centered---sigh. Guess all I can say is---(gotta flash on Sally Field's famous utterance, upon recieving her oscar, clutching it, --looking into the camera---"OH wow, you like me, your REALLY like me"!!-----. Its not easy being a dead branch on the family tree---but DAMN is sure is one fine tree?---thanks for reminding me of that guys

Out of THE Norm----(day two)

the day started out normal enough---up and out to the Monday meeting of the SOCDS (that's the Sherman oaks Coffee & Debating Society), but then instead of driving home as I would normally, I go in the opposite direction , this time to make a bank deposit for LP, and then obtusely I opt to hit the Marie Callender's Pie Palace---and, after much agonizing , selected a Pumpkin pie----then remembered that the old fridge is suffering from lack of cold beer , so HAD to go to the PRM and resupply the beer supply (PRM, stands for Paradise Ranch Market-----a small family owned market/liquor store run by an Iranian family a couple blocks from the house here ---oops they prefer me to refer to them as Persians----anyway they are quite nice)----now where was I--?? oh , yes well beer in hand I then came home, ---beer put away, Pie sitting in its box, a fresh pot of coffee brewing-----and here I am blogging-----at least back in the Normal Pattern again----for awhile anyway------stay tuned sports fans---ya never know just when I might throw out another pearl of wisdom or two-----(clap your hands if you believe)

Its Gonna Be An Outta-The-Norm Kinda Week

Sometimes ya just gotta break out of the routine ruts we are all prone to run in---this week for me is gonna be like that-----already have changed my normal pattern---didn't do the shopping on Saturday, gonna do that today---and pretty damn sure I'm not gonna buy the normal everyday eatables I would normally stock up on---I'm thinking maybe Chicken Enchiladas, with Mexican rice-----and egg omelette's with bell pepper, onions, mushrooms and cheese, and SweetNSour meatballs with chow mein noodles and well stuff like that----(hang on , gotta wipe the drool off my chin--).-----will have to get back to ya and report what I actually end up getting----my moments of insanity don't last all that long-----not well here, but I AM harmless. I am expecting a package from Pete N Judi later in the week. Pete was generous enough to loan me his old digital camera, for me to utilize and learn with, so later will be able to shop with some degree of knowledge for a newer up to date camera. So playing with that new toy will discombobulate my normal routine I am sure-----and in the mail yesterday got me a 20% off coupon good at Bed Bath and Beyond-----so will jump down there and do some shopping for towels, place mats and stuff-----. yep definitely not gonna be the same old routine this week.-----back from the store---okay, would you believe on this weeks menu we will be serving creamy cheesy chicken alfredo, -----Cheddar and Potato Soup, and Freschetta Supreme Pizza-----and Beef Enchiladas w/ Mexican rice and re-fried beans----note the store STILL does not have cauliflower w/cheese sauce----and I complained about it-----hmmph, so okay I can't go back to that Ralph's store for a while-----no big deal.

Its Sunday and I've Had Second thoughts-----

Yesterday I had decided I wanted to be able to be (when the mood struck me to that is) outrageously adult, and felt therefore to do that I should change the settings on my page to allow for "adult content", and so I did------but then I spent most of last evening trying to judge what the impact would be on those coming to my blog site---and getting hit with the warning, warning label---and then once in not seeing any xxx stuff---sorta would come across as false advertising wouldn't it??----oooh sure I COULD put in some xxxx stuff, but THEN my blog page would be like so much of the net-------waaaaay to sleazy, and not even as good---so decided to put my settings back to being G-rated---and will trust my reader's will allow me the occasional risque remark or two. (and I'll endeavor not to write blog when I have had to many beers and have gotten all S---faced)

Well its just past 10am and the LP is up working on his first cup of coffee (and watching a golf tournament)-----I'm sitting here fooling around blogging and procrastinating about making up a shopping list and heading out to the store-----its now 62 degrees F, on yet another clear sunny day in Valley Glen----will be just right for sitting on the patio reading later this afternoon. Probabely SHOULD shave before leaving the house----on the other hand kinda fun to go out with the unshaved, wild-eyed, old person, look---keeps people from jostling me in the isles. While screwing around yesterday learned (you old hands probabely already know this, but if not you might find this of interest) that if one right clicks on the gadgets on the blog pages, you frequently get a drop down menu, with the option to click on "open link"---which will take you to the web site from which the gadget was originally obtained, and one can shop that site for new fun stuff.
