So Whadda ya think?

I've been tossing blog posts out fairly often, good, bad and indifferent---but now I gotta ask. You all see the Lil green icon off to the right?----yeah the one that says "review me"----how come nobody has? I feel like a gave a party and nobody came----(sigh).

Being the old stubborn guy that I am, I learn best, and fastest by plunging in with both feet into things---like why read a long technical treatise on a subject, when ya can just ask a person that's doing it---or look over somebodies shoulder and flat out copy them. (and yes of course giving credit where credit is due---hey Sam taught me, or I got this from Harriot, etc, etc. I am saying this as kinda really want some reviews of my blog----am I boring everyone, or just what?? I mean like is it "send in the clowns, never mind they already are here?"

If you can't quite put a comment on my blog, maybe you need to have a better feel for my overall stance on things, in which case you might want to click on the Lil icon again on the right, just under the title "---and then I said"

Testing 1----2----3----Testing 1---2---3----

the experiment I am conducting here is primarily nothing more than a trial and error exercise on learning how to post and manipulate photos in my blogging posts. (the pic on the left is a first in a series of pics of the Space Station being assembled in space, and our Astronauts at work.

Now here to your right is another pic taken, one has to remember
that in space there is no atmosphere, so one doesn't have to
design smooth slick surfaces to cut down on wind drag. Can you
imagine how difficult it must be to try to work in a weightless
vacuum.

<---I kind of like this shot, in that it gives the viewer a better idea of how the space station floats in orbit above the planet (sometimes referred to as the "Blue Marble")

(by Jove, I think this old dude has gotten the hang of placing photos in his blog---I wanna thank all of those who volunteered their suggestions, and, with some experimentation on the old dudes part---have figured it out. my thanks to you all for your help.)

Missy's Challenge---

If your following my blog, this post is in response to My tagging Missy to answer a meme that I had posted earlier, and to which she commented, she would and threw out a challenge of her own., to which THIS post is answering---allbeit, not with the professional pics that MISSY takes, but ---HEY, old dude here, still learning how to use my camera---anyway here are some of MY favorite foods. (from the top left, Zatarains Rice (almost any flavor, really big on their Yellow rice), next, well of course the always popular "cold Brewski" (by the way "natural lite" is the generic version of "Bud lite"and I defy anyone to a blind fold taste test to tell the difference---and ooooh so much less expensive), followed by this house's favorite flavor Ice cream, and what Lil boy or girl can say no to Peanut butter and crackers to munch on---and then finally, when its time to throw yourself into the kitchen and cook a dinner---well here's a fun "cop out" way to go.
I really need somebody to teach this old dude how to post pics, so I can add descriptions and comments to each to each----mine all seem to bunch together like you see him here----(don't ya just hate that when that happens?

The New "Baby" at OUR house

Unfortunately, I felt it was best I didn't take this pic when some of the more adult stuff was playing---of my apologies for the overly "clean" boring image being shown----Samsung 42", all color all digital---------mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm sooooooooo good.

Its Meme Time Again----(ya gotta luv it)

I think dear readers, you will find this Meme just a mite more challenging than the last one I tossed out on ya. Anyway it goes like this, (and I fully expect to read your answers in your future blogs----):

1) Pick up the nearest book
2) Open it to page 123
3) Find the fifth sentence.
4) Post in you blog the next three sentences after that fifth one you have identified(that is to say sentences 6, 7 and 8)
5) tag five or more people, And acknowledge the person who tagged you.

Well I am playing the game, and I first must tell you that I received this Meme 123, from my new Friend Peter Rozovsky, of Detectives Beyond Boarders . If one goes to his blog, you will learn that this is not his first experience with this very same Meme----its kind of a case of what goes around , comes around.

This is my Meme entry. The book title is, "No Graves As Yet", by Anne Perry. This particular novel the first of her novels in her series set in the period of the First World War.

--------"That policeman's just been talking to me, sir, asking a lot of questions about Allard. I really don't know what to say". He looked awkward.
"If you know something that could have a bearing on his death, then you'll have to tell him the truth," Joseph answered --------------

The book of course is of the Mystery Genre, and if your not familiar with Anne Perry's style, you need to understand she is adept at painting detailed descriptive word scenes. Not just of the physical surrounding the story takes place in, but of all the characters in the book---she really brings them to life, and you really get to KNOW them. You will find yourself totally enmeshed in the story, and oblivious to your real world reality. At least that's my reaction to reading Anne Perry .

Anyway people, and by people I am herein officially tagging --- Judi, Dana, Missy, Mrmacrum, and last but not least---NucMEd------will be most interesting to see what books this eclectic group offers us snippets of.
