ADAPT OR DIE!! (The times they are a changing!)

It is in its own way it's exciting to think about changing one's lifestyle, and old patterns of behavior.  Now having said that---I'm finding its almost gut wrenching to actually do it.  Today being an example.  As you all know my day for doing "fluff and fold" (aka a laundry) has always been on Thursdays.  (I have posted my adventures at the Fluff and Fold Laundramat in previous posts)----but my life IS changing, and changing faster than I had expected it to---today is Sunday, and lo and behold I did  the fluff and fold bit this morning----its the way things just worked out----busy preparing my house for the lookee-loo's and the be prepared at all times for a realtor wanting to bring somebody through----the holidays falling on Thursday this year doesn't help either.  So I am kind of taking each day as they come, and doing my best to stay flexible.   It dawns on me most all my old patterns will ultimately be changed, deleted, and new ones added.  I keep setting the table for two, not just one now----so its Adapt or die, we have opted to go down this road, so be it----or like the admiral said---Damn the torpedoes FULL SPEED AHEAD------NO-O-O-O WAIT!!! (LOL).

  1. Nothing stays the same these days...and I think if it did...life would be boring. Some change is good..some sad....but you will make the best of it and adapt Gary. Glad to see you posting...I miss you and your words of wisdom and wit!

  2. Your attitude sounds right and that is the first step in being ready for change. You can do it!

  3. Will you have a laundry nearby? That is such a hard thing to have to do, take the dirty clothes out and spend a fortune on them just so you can bring the very same ones home and put up. Talk about a disappointing date!

I haven't seen Judi around lately. Is everyone alright and pulling for you?

  4. I can't wait to hear about your new digs Gary, especially if you are getting dsl or cable installed. :)

Hell, the day you fluff and fold doesn't matter so much as that you are fluffing and folding. Me? I can't stand doing laundry...then again I can be prissy little a** too.

Keep steering that ship in the right direction sir!

  6. actually I guess my attitude IS pretty good, once ya ignore the soft little gasps and moans, and a quick tendency to break into Anglo-saxon (lol)---and Judi is busy crafting and motor biking through the So. California mtns and canyons, and just getting ready for Christmas---will see her at the annual Christmas bash the family always has---this year Hosted by my Nephew Edward and his wife Sherri (Judi's husband's older brother)

  8. Change is good for the most part. Hard under your circumstances and at this time of year. But it will do you good to make a fresh start. And you have wonderful friends and family to help you through these changes.
