Tonights dinner menu will NOT be Red beans with Rice casserole---

Hi sportsfans, old dude checking in here, with an update on tonights dinner menu.  It had been planned to be a Casserole made with redbeansW/rice, and browned hamburger---but due to the ineptness of the cook, the hamburger did not get defrosted in time.  (I had a long talk with the chef about that----(sigh), and I think he now understands he must pay more attention to details, no excuses allowed..  Anyway after he got done sulking about that, a new menu was put in place.

So in lieu of the above planned dinner, tonight we will feast on a nice macaroni and cheese casserole and a tossed salad. and maybe tomorrow night we will go for the redbeans, hamburger, rice topped with extra sharp cheddar cheese.----unless the cook screws up again that is.

Had coffee with friends this morning, and made a trip to the library to renew some books I had yet to finish reading. (am into the works by Christopher Reich).  Lots of international spy intrigue----good escapist fare.  Tonight of course will be watching "Chuck" and "Boston Legal"----I like a certain amount of absurdity in my intertainment.  Neither of these two programs require any deep thought on my part, yet they amuse me.

Tuesday, (thats tomorrow right?) I must remember to pick up my dry cleaning, outherwise will have to stay home on thanksgiving, which will lead to my demise as my family would kill me if I don't show up.---and then on Wednesday I have a meeting with the Lawyers---thats gotta be a real nerve-wrack.----anyway thats as far into the future that I can plan at the moment.
(dear readers, thanks for all the kind words, cards and blog comments--Like Dana says on her blogs, you CAN meet good people via the internet.

FLY DUMBO FLY----nooooo wait!!!

Having just made a post of the oldest still useful item in the house, my mind has kinda lingered on that "Starving Student" era of my life, and my mind set during those days, and comparing it with the mind set of the last 20 years of my life, and then looking forward to the future, and attempting to bring to focus how my life might go---in that suddenly I find myself being once again a solitary man.

It strikes me that in the last couple of weeks since LP's passing on, that I have to come to grips with the fact that every minute of everyday is all mine to use, I can come and go as the mood strikes, meal times are whenever and wherever I care to make them----it, at the moment anyway, boggling my mind---don't laugh, but I kinda am identifying with that baby bird standing bravely at the edge of his nest, flapping my wings----but not sure yet.!! (lol)

Time will of course resolve all the many questions that I am now having to deal with, Keep this, dispose of that, move---and if so where, what is affordable, etc, etc, etc.----and of course the overall overiding question----what do I want to do with the rest of my life?? I have no definitive answers at this moment---the old dude's mind is truly Boggled---I need more data, need lots and lots of data---knowledge is power----(sigh).

FLY DUMBO FLY!!

STILL USEFUL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

A few days ago one of my friends here in the bloggosphere posted a article with a picture of something that they had had for a good number of years and still had on display in their home today, and kinda issued a challenge to others to post about the oldest thing in their houses that were still in use. This is my reply to the challenge.---

The year was 1956, September to be more exact.  It was during my "Starving Student" period.  I was a Sophmore at the University of Colorado, in Boulder, Colorado (Go Buffs!!).  I and a friend of mine, who I had met the year before when we both lived in the on campus Dorm Houseing, had opted to rent an apartment and live off campus (this showed how daring and sophisticated we were).  In anycase we needed to furnish the place and make it compatible to our needs, mainly build a desk, put some posters on the wall for ambiance etc.

The desk we constructed was made from a plain panel door, with four study metal legs on the four corners, to allow it to be desk height, One side of the desk was my area, the other half was my roomates. in the center of this (mentally picture the dividing line between the two halves, we decided we could make use of a place to keep all the various writing emplements students use, pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, paperclips etc, etc, etc., and so we went out looking for something to put all that crap in to sit on the desk.

In our search we found a hole in the wall 'antique' (aka junk) store, and in that store for the PHEEnomenal price of $1.00 (an outragous waste of money by a starving student) we acquired the needed accommodation to our desk/study station., a large china bowl-----the rest as they say is history.

Here is a pic of that very same bowl, as it currently is displayed in my house today (2008), you may have to enlarge the pic, but there it is on the top shelf on the right hand side---
To give you a better perspective of what this little pot looks like, here is a close up (as you can see its full of potpourri at the moment)---
, so-o-o-o thats the oldest thing I have had for some lengthy period of time, and still make use of.  I look forward to reading what others might post.

Wednesday 11/19/08---in summary

On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best, I would give today a 4. The weather was most excellent, the temp in the mid 80's, clear and sunny. My garden crew was here early and did their mow and blow thing, and put out my trash cans for pickup. I had my morning coffee and the last of Tish's great muffins on the patio for breakfast.

Later I went out and got my haircut for Thanksgiving, should look great in a week, (won't have that raw fresh cut look to it). I re-discovered the big stereo console in the living room and have found a nice radio station playing my music of the 60's and 70's, bringing back a rush of my single bar hopping days , ----what a wild era that was.

Tonight I will have a thick sliced ham steak dinner, with mashed potatoes, and corn---and will watch the last six episodes of "Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia" (Season 1&2 on disc from Netflix---3hrs running time)---no commercials, no interruptions---and what the heck will have a package of jolly time popcorn to go with it.

Tomorrow is "Fluff n Fold" time-----(sigh)(lol)

Think About It---??!!

your sitting there scanning the comments people have put on your posts, and in the back of your mind maybe plotting out your next post. The sun is shining your morning coffee is sooooo good, but then ask yourself-------who was reading your blog last night???

We all know the kind of people we like, and admire. We publish our posts with a certain quality of audience in mind, and we go to all kind of lengths to present the image we want others to see us as being like. Its human nature to wanna be loved. We go to extreme lengths to hide what we consider to be our flaws or weak points, and its very uncomfortable to have friends or family remind us of them. Yet here we all our out blogging, presenting our self to the world, or at least that image we want the world to see-----but again, who is reading your blog?? What are they like, what might they think of you??

Like most Bloggers, you love getting comments on your postings, and wanting to see "more" of who they are, we quickly track down THEIR blog pages and profiles and try to categorize who they are and what they are all about. Guess what??----you find they are people who you might well not have wanted to meet---or worse some of them might be people you would find most difficult to explain to your real world family and friends----yet, you develop a online relationship, you visit their blogs and make comments and they do the same for you---but as you continue this unsolicited relationship, you begin to find yourself feeling guilty about the flaws and weak spots you have hidden from the world---while these others seem to not care and appear to have thrown themselves out there warts and all and are enjoying themselves. The question now is----why aren't you?

So tonight late, when your all snuggled down under your warm blankets and just about to fall asleep----think about it---I wonder who is reading my blog right now??----sweet dreams.

Monday Monday

Man I loved the Mamma's N Pappa's vocal group-----. I was kinda between jobs when "Monday Monday was blasting the airwaves, recall I spend a goodly number of nights dallying at one of my local haunts, nursing one beer for a couple hours, and listening to that song, and kinda feeling sorry for myself---but then lucky guy that I am, I found a job and had to rejoin the human rat race----but that's a whole different story and is ancient history now. Today, this MONDAY, still smarting from the Plumbing bill, followed by the rotten time at my local supermarket, we (the LP and I that is), dared spit into the face of destiny and scheduled our annual furnace inspection. I am pleased to report we passed with no trouble----the guy even complimented us on how clean our furnace filter was (damn thing should be, I take it out and hose it clean every month)----anyway, as the sun slowly sinks in the west , as it is prone to do---and as the temperature outside falls below 75 degrees, the LP and I smile as the old furnace kicks on and warm air blows from the vents-----life is good.

Keep This In Mind When You Vote

While I am pointing to other interesting blogs, I have to give mention to another eclectic blog titled Britannica Blog, and of special note the posting titled,"What Americans look for in a president-Afew lessons in History". I think both party advocates should calm down and read this article.

Its Tomorrow---and The Suns Out

I got a good nights sleep, slept in til after 7am , enjoyed a hot shower (specially in that the drain worked real good), --the LP is still sleeping so here I am catching up on my friends postings, dropping my comments, and sipping a good cup of coffee (I make a mean pot of coffee, or so I have been told). The Sun is shining in a nice clear blue sky---and the weather forecast is for it to get into the mid 80's for the next few days. Life is good once more. (you were right Sue(lol)).
Necessity is the mother of invention, as the saying goes, and as such I have signed up to be a paid post reviewer-----well you guys all told me I could write, or were ya just being nice? If I have any success at this new venture----you most likely will be seeing some off the wall post topics on my page here. I don't think this will happen all that fast, but then again I am new at doing this so not sure what the market for this kind of service will be.
Being a beginner, my "fee" for doing reviews is kinda minimal, but if I DO have any talent for writing, then over time the base charge for my skills should go up----if not then the whole venture will just fade away and we just won't talk about it anymore.
Today's chores consist of emptying out the two cabinets, one under the sink in the kitchen, and the other cabinet under the sink in the pantry area, and putting things back in , in the proper order----the plumbers took everything out to do the work, and then put the crap all back in any which way they could get it all back in----turns out they couldn't so had a few things left out----me thinks I have way to many left lover storage dishes----Rubbermaid, Tupperware. and assorted heavy duty plastic (all with lids mind ya) To good to throw out-----maybe I should return some of this stuff to my nieces who keep inviting me to family gatherings and sending me back home with Tupperware dishes full of good food??

Monday, Monday

Finally after being hyped half the summer the networks are gonna start laying the new shows on us tonight. No doubt complete with lots and lots of commercial breaks. A review of my local broadcast stations offerings for tonight, and it appears I will be watching those shows on channel 2 (CBS) between 8pm and 11PM. I love the wild dialog of "The Big Bang", and "How I Met Your Mother", and also I am amused with "Two and a Half Men". This latter show is then followed by a new show titled "Worst Week" which I think is gonna be a total loser, but then we close out the evenings programing with the first episode of the new season of "CSI Miami".
I gave up on watching Hero's last year, as it got to be a quick glimpse of a particular hero, then a break for a commercial, and then another glimpse of yet another hero, commercial break----I couldn't keep track of all the sub plots of each of the dozen or so hero's in relation to the big overall plot line---not to mention the time lines----so won't waste my time on yet another season of that show. None of the other networks has anything that interests me.
TUESDAY night, again appears to be an all channel 2 (CBS) evening, with the return of "NCIS", a new show titled "The Mentalist"and the return of "Without a Trace". I will look forward to the next summer season, when I can then watch the reruns of "House" which is on opposite NCIS.
WEDNESDAY: it will be "Knight Rider", "Criminal Minds" and "CSI NY"
THURSDAY : it will be "Ugly Betty" and the two hour "Greys Anatomy"
FRIDAY : we will watch something from Netflix---as according to the tv guide their are no new shows premiering and the reruns are bleak, not even worthy of commercials in my book.

Obama offers the Great Lakes Region 5 Billion Dollars.

Today, the liberal leftist democrats nominee for President , boldly offered , if elected , to set up a 5 Billion dollar trust fund to be used for the purposes of cleaning up the great Lakes, a noble goal to be sure. The huge amount of monies would come from increasing taxes on the Oil companies, (the same oil companies he would add more taxes on to turn around and give every man woman and child a $1000 payment tax relief check), The population of the country being in excess of 300 million, at $1000 bucks a head comes to---plus now an additional $5 billion to the great lakes area (its coincidental that Mich, Ohio, Minn are all critically undecided as to which way they will vote, so promise some money , can't hurt right Obama?) The liberal democrats are against drilling for new oil, but I just can't see how taxing the oil companies tens of billions of dollars is gonna bring the price of oil down, or make us independent of foreign oil?.
The country currently running a huge deficit, can't see how Obama is gonna cut taxes either, why does he keep saying he will? Sorry I want an experienced leader as President, and not one that will just throw dollars at the problems and create ever more government bureaucracy.

For a Good Giggle, read the Huffington Post

As most all adults in the western world now know, the Presidential election of a U.S. President is underway. This election has brought out the contrast of the two parties. The Liberal Democrats, versus the Conservative Republicans.
In Particular this time around, The Liberals are kinda split some being much more left of the main stream of the country, others only moderately left.----As we all know, its the radical left that is in control of the Liberal Democrats. These radicals will settle for nothing less that the socialization of the country, goverment in total control of everything. Their shining star is Obama, "the one" as his groupies refer to him. He is everything a good leftist liberal should be. A graduate of a good ivy league school, who has good looks, dresses well, and makes charming speeches. He spent 8 years in the Illinois senate, where he astutely was careful not to alienate anybody, conversely voting "present" over half the time, while cultivating friendships with the powers that be that run the Chicago polictical machine. They got him elected as the junior senator from Illinoise in 2004. In the national assembly he has instigated no legislation of his own, but in all fairness in the four years he has been a National senator, he has spent two years running for president. (it would be an interesting total to know just how many hundreds of millions of dollars he has spent in the last two years on this endeavor.---does anyone know?)
On the conservative Republican Team. Senator John McCain, nominated a women Govenor to be his Vice Presidential selection. Gov. Sara Palin of Alaska, a definite outsider to the Washington DC elite. (Obama selected one of the longest residents of the Washington Senate, (some three decades he has served in the senate, definitely an "insider"to business as usual) Obama justified his choice of Joe Biden in that he wanted an exeperience person to turn to should he have to make any decisions, (obama not haveing much experience of his own).
Since the nomination of Sara Palin as the repuplicans nominee for the VP slot. The radical leftist liberals have been frothing at the mouth. First they gripped that she was there to grap the dissatisfied Hillary voters, then they bitched that she didn't attend any of the proper schools (namely ivy league schools), they they complained that she was a bad mother, parading her family at the Republican Convention the night she gave her acceptance speech. (like what women would NOT want her family present to see here accept such a great nomination, but in the leftist eyes this just wasn't done by "properly educated women". Then they espoused their dissatisfaction with her views on abortion , motherhood and just about anything else ya care to mention. This frothing of the mouths of the Leftist Liberal Democrats is hilarious, if it wasn't so sad, and so narrow minded. Like lemmings they quote each other as they run off the cliff. and then hearing the other leftists saying the same thing, actually believe the whole world is saying it----anyone NOT agreeing with them are either stupid, disgusting, or telling lies, and shouldn't be allowed to vote. If you don't believe this, you only have to read the Huffington Post, a bastion of the Leftist liberals who control the Leftist liberal Democratic party. This small radical sect actually believes that their opinions represent the majority opinion of the country----The most recent public opinion polls say otherwise. read what these radicals think of those that disagree with them, and why they HATE so much. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ Read what they expect and want---and remember if you don't go to an Ivy League school, then your a stupid and not worthy.

Joe Admits It!!

I was driving to my weekly rondevous with the Fluff N Fold Palace, when I first heard it on the truck radio. I guess it kinda caught me by surprise, and yet when I think about it I guess I shouldn't have been. Barack's selected running mate for Vice President, confessed in a public speech that Hillary would have been a better choice for VP.
Senator Biden, who is a professional  politician , having convinced his home state to elect him over and over and over----now less than two weeks after the Republicans finished their convention---Biden is already telling the public that Barack made a not so good decision in selecting him, when Hillary was so available. Now why would he make such a statement in Public at this juncture of the final days of the campaign?
This old dude, suspects that the wiley old Politician that Joe Biden is---is that he recognizes Barack really doesn't have the heart for politics, that he isn't going to win come November---Biden wants to survive the train wreck of the Barack express---so what is he doing? He is publically distancing himself from Barack, buttering up Hillary, and putting himself in as good a position to get re-elected to the senate, and still be a good Donk when it comes to the campaign of 2012. I think too, he is doing his best to set the stage so come the VP debate , he only gets mauled a little bit and comes out of it with his reputation not to badly ripped up.
How totally destroyed is the Obama game plan?----you got the top of the leftist Democrat ticket personally slurring the number two person of the opposing ticket----its like a little kid working himself into a total hissyfit----imbarrassing himself, and his handlers. I have to admit the total disinigration of the Obama game plan coming so fast, that I am somewhat surprised, I knew it was all smoke and mirrors, ----but I would never have guess that an educated at Haavard sort, would allow himself to be reduced to uttering slurs ----but then we all knew he does not have the experience to be president-------snubbing our wounded troops in the hospital, and grand standing with the heads of states offering a better photo opt.---He lost my vote right there. He showed the world he was for Obama, not for the USA.

"THE SILENT MAJORITY"

All in all, over the last couple decades, both of our major political parties have drifted from their base positions. This drift of both parties has resulted in a blurring of what they stand for, and as a result the vast majority of voters have come to believe there is no real difference between the two.------and we have seen this result in fewer and fewer of the eligible voters actually voting.
This year, 2008, has seen Senator Obama, a relatively new face on the National scene, work up a large following (his presidential campaign having begun waaay back on Feb. 1oth, 2007) and having the race pretty much all to himself til this year. Only then did he begin to get some competition for attention from others, namely Senator Clinton-----She gathered more popular votes, but Obama got the electoral votes ---and as we all know finally forced Hillary to give up, using a running argument that her obstinacy was dividing the party. (My own opinion of Obama's victory in getting the Democratic nomination for President, was that he was a fresh face, minimal experience, and he is one excellent orator---give him time to prepare a speech put him in front of a teleprompter and this guy could charm the birds outta the trees. (his followers started calling him "The One".
The republicans had a much quieter lead up to their convention, pretty much agreeing on John McCain early in the primaries, he world more excited watching the antics of Barrack and Hillary. The general public attitude was in a contest between John McCain and Barrack Obama, that Obama had the momentum and would most likely be the next president.
Barrack, who had been centering his campaign around the point that he would bring change to Washington , was getting hit hard on his lack of any real executive experience, so to shore up his standings with the public he had Joe Biden nominated as his VP. Two things resulted, the public perceived that Barrack was kinda admitting he lacked experience by adding the longest resident of the Senate in the History of the country to be his VP. and the the other thing is, by not nominating Hillary , enraging the entire left wing of his party (Gloria Steinem and such---) much ado in the media about the disenchantment of many women voters and speculation on how many might just vote for McCain .
Then McCain announced his selection of VP, Gov. Sara Palin of Alaska. The leftist, liberal media went berserk. They accused the Repubs of trying to appeal to the disenchanted Hillary supporters, they mocked Sara for being a Mayor of such a small town, they pointed out she had a pregnant unwed daughter, they ridiculed her "none ivy league" school , that she was govenor of Alaska, so what, the population of Alaska was-----hardly cosmopolitan. and oh my goodness her political opponents referred to her as a hockey mom disguised pit bull. This went on for almost four days, but then the public got to see and meet the Real Sara Palin as she gave her acceptance Speech on Aug 27th, 2008.
----------The Democrats immediately went into a defensive crouch---and like Willy Brown , a long time democratic political genious in California admitted, "We are now playing defense and we (democrats) don't do well on defense---we lose when we have to explain our programs --"

Today its announced that in the latest polls, 52 percent will vote for McCain/Palin, 46 percent Obama/Biden------Me Thinks Senator Obama is really regretting not spending time with the wounded troops on his grand European tour with 300 press people (by the way the democratic party paid for that trip)---it may well turn out that that was the High point of the Jr. Senator from Illinois run for the Presidency.
It would seem the vicious tasteless attacks of Gov. Palin, from the leftist liberal elite have woke up the silent majority------I don't think Senator Obama and his running mate will be able to satisfactorily explain their programs of change and the resulting bigger government ---what with now being so totally identified as being promoted by the leftist liberal establishment.

Reading The Opposition

I have immersed myself in reading what the Liberals have to say since Gov. Palin has hit the scene, and really try to understand they're arguments. The main arguments they seem to have are that she didn't go to a big name school, lived in a a very small town, dared to allow her family to come to the convention and watch "Mom" accept the nomination for Vice President of the entire country---on the other hand I may have that wrong---and the Liberals are angry that she (Gov. Palin) is PROUD of her family.
Then two the leftists (nee liberals) have gone on and on and on trying to convince themselves that their boy from Haavard has more experience than Gov. Palin. (and at the same time trying to convince the world that Gov. Palin doesn't have enough experience to be Vice President---the way all the comments read, sounds like half of the liberal feminists had to go lay down for a couple days as they were just "sick" over her speech, and the other half kept trying to tell themselves that the nomination of Gov. Palin to the VP candidacy, was nothing less than the repubs (thats what they call people who are republicans) starting a culture war. Deep down inside these elitists believe that if ya didn't graduate from an Ivy league school, then you can't possibly be cultured enough to run for high office. (kinda insults an awful lot of working moms I would think)-----they hear that talk, then look at Gov. Palin's actual accomplishments---proving it can be done---one doesn't have to go to the just right schools, and join just the right organizations, and marry a man with big connections, to get ahead---).
It seems in the Liberal Party (aka Democrats), they have Men and Feminists. Whereas in the Conservative Party (aka Republicans), they have Men and Women.

VEEERRRY Interesting!!

What a surprise, McCain selecting the Governor of Alaska as his running mate. I think this will make the next couple months of the election period most interesting. I like I suspect most all Americans outside of Alaska, have no knowledge of Ms. Palin. I did catch her introduction speech given in Ohio with McCain at her side---and I have to say she did come across as solid, knowledgeable, and personable. Over the next few weeks we know doubt will be subjected to a zillion articles and broadcasts with her as the topic , and become familiar with her political and personal characteristics.
It has already been pointed out that she is 3years YOUNGER than "Brick",which brings into question how much international experience does she have----wouldn't it be wild if she now flies to Europe, and specifically meets with the wounded there??
Yes the next two months are gonna be real interesting politically.

Is Anybody Watching Gustav??

New Orleans near died from Katrina, the city existing below sea level and all---now billions of dollar spent to recover from Katrina, here we have the threat of "Gustav"---I have to ask myself, why? why do we humans spit in the face of Mother Nature---trust me its not nice to fool "Mother Nature"---
Yes its a marvel of modern science and technology that allows us to engineer and put in place an area below sea level and make use of it for habitation. Okay we have done it, and there it is----.----Now here comes "Gustav" and if its not "Gustav" then it invariably will be yet another storm---I hate sounding negative but hello??---logic tells us , its only a matter of time..---this year, next year---maybe he year after------?? Frankly I kinda admire our fickle finger off fate to Mother Nature---bring it on, we are here today and we will be here tomorrow---well some of us anyway.

The Party goes on

Guess its "Bricks" night tonight----we have had to listen to what three nights of a continuous stream of Donk's telling us they can't afford this or that, that our health system doesn't cover every body, that our union teachers are swamped with ever larger classes, and poor pay, that American business can't compete with foreign business, that are banks are bad, our housing is inadequate, and ---well gee they have an endless list of what is negative about america. Makes ya wonder why they haven't moved ?? The Donk's philosophy basically is, your entitled, and if your not better off then its the governments fault, not YOURS.
I agree the country isn't perfect, yes it could be made better----who is president however is irrelevant. All the good or bad about the country can be laid at the feet of the National Congress. It is they who pass the laws , raise or lower taxes---and otherwise create the situation we currently find ourselves living with. It is those we send to congress that determine the welfare of the country, not the damn figurehead president.
I am also damn tired of listening to one party proclaim the country is nothing but one problem after another , this from people if they stop to think will find out they are living a better lifestyle than their parents had. (wow, how did that happen?). Similarly I am tired of the other party telling me everything is hunky dory----. I wanna hear from both candidates not so much what they are for---but some plans on just how to achieve that---neither party is putting out any details---just platitudes-----I feel your pain---"screw you"---.
In the next two months runup to election---come on people, don't settle for platitudes, ask for JUST HOW you plan on dealing with that problem Sir?"----then vote.

Another Moment IN Time

As the sun slowly sinks in the west (yet again), it occurs to me come the dawn that tomorrow will be the 27th of the Month.----and no way I can pretend I am surprised, have seen it coming for weeks--tomorrow I get to go to the Medical Hospital (A major hospital which will go unnamed) and get a "Bone Density" test. Why a bone density test you all ask---well, (sigh) dealing here with this humongously enlarged Postrate---and the doctor having done a number of biopsies has found no real evidence of cancer, but-------and having discussed the pros and cons at some length with him---have agreed that I should go about about "shrinking " the monster, so that eventually, SHOULD surgery be required it will be a viable option----so I have begun taking the necessary drugs to "shrink" the big guy down----yes Virginia this has to do with chemotherapy and I now am at risk of not having sufficient calcium in my body over the duration of the treatment (we are talking 6-18 monthes, one pill a day).
However to monitor things its necessary to establish a bone density level---so thus the need for tomorrows test. Its no big deal---besides I have to leave the house anyway if for no other reason than to complete the grocery shopping I failed to do early today----(not to mention refurbish my beer supply ),which I noticed a moment ago , as I took the last cold brewski in captivity for myself, that we are now totally out of. (I really DO have to find better planning skills). Have no fear sportfans, my appointment tomorrow is late in the afternoon, and I plan on making another post in the morning---and if I get back from the bone testing grounds early enough an afternoon posting as well? (lol)

"HELP ME!! HELP ME!!"

Off to the right of this page you see in the upper right corner the latest buzz widget, listing a few of the latest news nugget/links---here's what I need help with----the "Buzz" widget is fun and informative, but maybe its just waaay to cute, know what I mean? So-o-o---who gives it a thumbs up, and who gives it a thumbs down?---I need YOU my readers to tell me---like hello, this page is for YOU--(lol)---(more or less).
