Its My Age Isn't It?

----its okay, I am use to it---the bulk of the blogosphere is younger than me---and yet here I am boldly announcing, confessing I am an OLD DUDE---spitting in the wind, and wondering why no body acknowledges my blog. I DO NOT wish to make light of those that do read and comment on my posts, gawd bless ya all for encouraging me-----but the bloggosphere is not ready for Older people---"They" only want young blood , people their own age, to nod and giggle and approve of their likes and such---well I got news for ya KIDS---your ignorant, your rude and hello??---shape up or us "old" people will cut your allowances off.
I am so tired of the "Doctor Spock" raised kids---they all think they are the greatest things sinced slice bread---but then that's how they were raised. it was easier to just pass em up to the next grade, and let THAT teacher deal with em----meanwhile, mom an dad hard working trying to keep food on the table, a roof over their heads, just threw money at the kids, ---"get away from me kid I'm busy"-----so we got what we got.
So just what do we do with a generation of unschooled, prima donna's who ACTUALLY BELIEVE they are educated----hey don't piss em off, or you will get a note from their Mommies---yeahh you will.(LOL).
Its an election year, and all those kids above are practically wetting their pants they are so excited to back a new face, he is closest to their age---and they actually BUY INTO the party line---"HE is for change---"----they are so young and naive, they have no clue that in the way of cycles, its the "Democrats" turn ----so unless the designated Democratic Donk blows it, he wins---us old folks KNOW this cycle-----we also know that less than 50 percent of those eligible to do so actually vote---that means that us 20 plus percent in control---rule.
-----(one has to laugh at he silly democrats with how they dealt with the Florida and Michigan primaries---and gave those voters only half credit---Hillary should have KNOWN the fix was in---now the question is will he follow his handlers and nominate her for VP?---Like I said earlier, its the Donks turn---less he blows it.

  1. One problem with your scenario is that the "Dr. Spock-raised kids" are turning 60 these days. Not exactly "kids."

  2. My mom bypassed Sr. Spock and went with common sense. Raised six kids, no one has been in jail, and all of us are quite normal (or almost normal). Ha! It's my generation that has succumbed to success and spoiled our kids in the process.

I agree, It is a shame that such a small percentage of people control our lives and the ironic thing is that the non voters are the first to complain about just about everything. I partially feel that as a past union worker that a good percentage of them don't vote because they made good money and great benefits so they weren't concerned. They may have to start thinking about what's going on and become involved. There are so many people out there that never listen to the news and never read a paper (not that your can trust either one for accurate information). Say hi to the LP for me. Love, Mel

  3. This is what I wanted to hear. I feel the exact same way, but yet, I'm only 37. There is a significant smell of stink in the youth today with the way they view life and treat others.

And wear your damn hat the correct way, pull up your pants, you look like an idiot. The problem is that kids being raised today will see this show of stupidity, and it will only get worse with each passing generation.

    How sad...how absolutely sad.

  4. Thank you for voicing something I have a problem with. Thank God my kids turned out as good as they did, since they came from a divorced family (the norm, since vows don't seem to mean doo doo anymore). And yes, my youngest son stayed back a year and went to summer school (something else that is a thing of the past). All these kids need discipline but the government won't let us do it. So now the parents are afraid of the kids and no one can do a damn thing about it. I also have a stepdaughter on the other side of the scale.....never had rules to live by, dropped out of school, 3 kids by different days (one deceased) and the other 2 being raised by their grandmother because daughter doesn't want anything but the welfare check. And as far as politics go, I stay out of the discussions, but I agree that if you don't vote don't complain. If you want to complain, go out and vote and make a difference.

  5. Not all people are raising their children to be what was is you said...unschooled prima donnas. Some of us make our children dress properly and speak properly and while both of mine can act like spoiled brats, they are least learning there are consequences for such actions.

As for "younger" people buying into the party line...I would buy into to it even if he said I'm not for change. ANYTHING would be better than one more day of this administration.

Sometimes I wonder if you actually write this hoping to push someones buttons. A broad stroke comment like---"They" only want young blood , people their own age, to nod and giggle and approve of their likes and such---well I got news for ya KIDS---your ignorant, your rude and hello??---shape up or us "old" people will cut your allowances off.---is a titch insulting to someone like me that has two jobs and a lot of responsibility.

  6. Here's what I think: (as if anyone gives a crap) but kids today are told how wonderful they are, how smart they are, even when bringing home Ds and Fs. This is the fear that a little honesty will "break their spirit". Then they wonder why lil' Cathy doesn't feel the need to improve herself, try harder, or excel at anything other than getting pregnant at 14. Why should she improve? She's already been convinced that everything she does is perfect.

  7. Think I said this one before -
Young people, nothing good will become of them. ( A quote from a Greek philosopher 6000 years ago).

The problem with kids today is they don't listen to common sense. You tell them it's not a good idea to walk off a cliff so what do they do? Yep, walk off a cliff.

  9. Gary, thanks for the comment. I chose my blogger template specifically because it offered the "roll-up" archives. I don't know if you can retrofit yours, but you can check bloggers templates to see which ones offer that.

  11. I deleted the above comment for two reasons. One, it offerred no factual basis for conclusions reached, and two, I don't much care for those that grip but hide behind "anonymous"--- I can respect a person whose convictions differ from mine---that is their right in this country, just as much as it is mine----but lets keep the politics to facts, and not just imotional tirades. (I know,I know, this post was something of an emotional Tirade---my baad)

  13. Dang, I'm closer to the old folks age than the babies, but if this is old folks blogging, no wonder nobody reads it. It sounds like a bunch of old poops sitting in their rockers on the front porch of the nursing home griping about how the world has gone to hell in a handbasket.

Nothing wrong with young folks looking for a candidate to change what's wrong, is there? It's no more "naive" than buying what the current administration has been selling these last loooooooooong 8 years.

  14. Blogging's not for the faint of heart. You just keep doing it, posting regularly, commenting elsewhere. The one thing that would help you: tags. Put Paris Hilton and Dark Knight in your tags and watch your traffic skyrocket! Of course, it would help if you wrote about Paris Hilton and the Dark Knight movie.
