I Want MY Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune Time

Its bad enough there is diddly on the tv programming, they now gotta add to the garbage, and put in an hour of (sob!) the "Donk's party in Denver----and to make room for it they had to ursurp the two best shows on the schedule, "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune". "WE" are most definitely not amused! I have no interest in the "Brick and Joe (text me) Biden comedy show----its been going now for over a year and a half------and so far he hasn't said anything, but then he IS a politician isn't he---hmmph, I wouldn't buy a used car from him either. First ya fire your Minister for upstaging ya, then ya blantantly snub our wounded troops, and now your first "presidential " decision is to offer the Vice Presidency to one of the entrenched "DC" elite. (Hows THAT for Change folks?)----and then as a final blow to the people you block out their favorite game shows and insist they gotta listen to you---------ya think?? (if ya hurry ya might still be able to sign of with the Madonna World Tour, she could use a good clown act to warm up the crowds for her act)

  2. Wah, wah wah. What are you going to say when the elephants poop all over your schedule.

I think you like the kool aid too much.

  3. I havn't planned that far aheard MRMacrum---hell I don't even buy green bananna's either.---------Judi, aw come on I don't rant like Tish does------I'm more of a whiner.(I get cranky if I don't get my game shows to watch while eating dinner.

  4. And yet ANOTHER reason why I have cable! I will not be forced to watch Frick and Frack and the whole Donk party in Denver. I will be enjoying my pay TV. Gary...I suggest you get some extra Net Flix movies...you're gonna nedd em!!

  5. I watch for the comedy, but the Republicans are funnier (and not on purpose, either.)

  6. May I suggest a movie and many many beers.

  7. You're on the West Coast and the convention is live. Are you sure that your game shows - one of which I appeared on, not so incidentally - aren't on after the convention?

Back when ABC had Monday Night Football, there'd be a show at 8 pm that broadcast after the game on the West Coast.

In any case, JEOPARDY! at least is in reruns.

  8. No doubt your are right Rog, that has been the networks usual method of retribution. My protest was that I enjoy the shows while LP and I eat our dinner, this is followed at 8PM-10pm with a movie, something off the tv programing between 10-11pm, ("Without a Trace", or "CSIxxx", or perhaps acouple old Seinfield reruns and then we call it a day and turn in.

  9. Wow Roger, you were on one of the game shows?---that must have been a fun experience.

  10. I'm glad that we have cable too. That way, I'VE GOT MORE TO WHINE ABOUT THAN YOU DO. HAHAHA

  11. I'll be watching both conventions -- for the amusement factor, if nothing else. It's sad to me that I have so little hope for any real change...no matter who wins.

  12. Gary
I knew there was something about you that I liked.
A "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy" fan, just like I am.
Fortunately here in Canada we can still see them instead of the political conventions.

    Bear((( )))

  13. It must be sad to be so set in your ways that you can't stand any divergence from the Same Old Thing. I hope someone will put me out of my misery before I reach that point.

  14. Hey it could be worse. Remember in the 50s when that's all that was on. Three channels of conventions all night long. Yuck! There was nothing to do as a kid then but play board games or listen to the radio.

  15. That's why I have DVR'd some of my favorite programs to watch this week ...

  16. First of all....how can someone be such a sourpuss like Kathi D. What a terrible thing to say. Gary has earned the right to be set in his ways. Now on to Demeur...kids were all about playing board games and having fun making things up back in the 50's...unlike the kids of today who would probably get headaches trying to think of ways to amuse themselves. Even though I'm not quite that old, I'm sure politics in the 50's weren't the circus act that they are today.

  17. Hey, I spent many years as a single mom, raising two great kids and establishing a successful 32 year banking career. I deserve to now be "set in my ways", as does my 30 year retired Navy spouse and I imagine Gary deserves that too. Whew, Kathi D. what were you thinking?

I will say that the best alternative to the DNC is the off button on the TV and a nice walk.

  18. Gary needs a DVR. I watch almost nothing in real time. The only thing I watched in current time was the Olympics for a couple hours while my wife was having surgery.

  19. your right people I DO need a DVR, at least I will come febuary when all the broadcasts will be digital----course will still need the vcr to make use of my 700 plus video cassette movie collection----(sigh) live my technology, die by technology----and the beat goes on.

  20. Every channel was glued to that convention last night...what a snoozefest.
But the "analyst opinion's" after the fact were much worse.

  21. I managed to avoid it, watched acouple reruns of old seinfield episods, a movie from net flix ("Something Wicked This Way Comes"), and then got to watch my game shows----sounds like I didn't miss anything, from what I see in the news bulletins this morning.

  22. Gary, thanks for the visit. I am not a wedding planner - I am a wedding florist. Wedding planning is often a thankless job, with long hours and never so much glamour as it appears to have. I am glad to be involved ONLY with flowers!

  23. I love all the comments. I was getting a little upset that those of you that don't know Gary personally, that he is very intelligent and the most witty person. I love you stirring things up. It was a yawn last night. Can't wait to see Hillary try to look happy and upbeat tonight. She is very transparent and can't hide her feeling very well. It is a shame that your programs are off the air for the next few days. Mine were off this afternoon to watch another small fire. How about a swim tonight!!

    Love, Mel

  25. Anon can be upset but people who don't know Gary have to respond to his words, not the twinkle in his eye youy may have seen when he's said something similar. It's a wriitem=n medium.

  26. ---thanks Roger----and your right, never take me to seriosly folks-----its that party of irsh in me that puts a devilish twinkle in me eye----Yes Hillary looking upbeat about "Brick" winning-----who knows, maybe she can convince everyone else its okay---but then the public would have to be as dumb as the media would love us to believe?

  27. I am happy to be kicked around here. It's the least I can do for an Irish coattail relative.

It's funny how seriously people seem to take these things. I worry about the blood pressure levels, oh my.

  28. P.S. Thank you for being such a raging bitch, Bonnie. My 14-year-old dog died today, so possibly I am in a sour mood. So sorry to rain on your parade, you idiot.

  29. Kathi D: Tis truly a sad moment to lose one's pet of many years----I lost my
Buddy" (a 72 pound Boxer) a few years ago---I recall how much of a void he left in my life. I've chosen to have another pet---unable and unwilling to make the emotional investment it would require-----you have my sympathies for your loss.

  30. Gary, you've got 700 movies taped and you feel stuck when the DNC usurps your game shows? Dude, you really are stuck in your ways.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thank you, Gary. I appreciate that. We are really sad here.
